Natural Nutrition Plan for Guys.

Grilled Sea Bream!
It is widely accepted that the proper intake of nutritional foods and liquids is the most important thing we can do for our bodies. Yet, in the modern world today, despite a new diet book every week on the NY Times best selling list boasting the newest and supposedly best diet, we are still the fattest and laziest group of humans to inhabit the earth! It’s not a surprise the diet book authors are making a killing. With all of these diet gurus out there and tons of diets to choose from, just what the heck are we to believe? Well, I wish I could tell you “This is the only diet you need!” and all of your problems would be solved. Though, in a sense I CAN tell you what diet you need but YOU are the only one that decide if you are going to stick with it. I am not a big fan of the 15 minute miracle diet or the 'Take this pill and you too can lose up to 100 pounds!' kind of diet. Those are fad diets and are simply gimmicks for getting you to buy their products, which lead to other products that you “absolutely need” in order to make the original product work in order to.... Well, I think you understand what I am getting at. A nutrition plan is more than just what you put into your mouth. It has to be a lifestyle choice. Don't worry. I'm not asking you to join a cult and swear yourself off of the Twinkies. Actually, if you could swear yourself off of the Twinkies that would be a really great start!
We all eat for certain reasons. Here are a few of the main ones. One: to keep us alive and kicking. We need food to help us survive. Period. But this doesn't mean that we should stuff ourselves silly each and every meal! If we can stick to the main principles of the yoga-for-men diet than we are off to a good start. We'll go over the details of the plan a bit later. Two: it's lunch time and because it's lunch time, we gotta eat, right? Just because it’s a particular time of the day doesn't mean that our bodies are ready to inhale a foot long sub sandwich on our lunch break. If we step back and really listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us, we will know how much we really need at one time. While I believe that meal timing is important, what and how much we eat at one time is of more importance. Three: it's BBQ season and all those hamburgers and polish sausages were calling my name! And of course I needed to wash ‘em down with a couple of cold ones! All right, fellas, I absolutely love BBQs as much as the next guy, but just because the guy next to you at the party is pounding down the beers and franks doesn't mean you can also go hog wild. I'm not saying that you can't enjoy yourself but in social situations we as men tend to overeat. Practice the 80% rule mentioned later and your heart, your body, and those around you, will thank you later. Four: the latest health mag for men tells us we gotta up our food intake to gain muscle so we feel the need to really put it down! Sure, if you are bulking up for next year's Mr. Olympia or World's Strongest Man contest. Now, there is nothing wrong with gaining muscle and looking buff. No problems here. But if lean, solid muscle is what you are after than you really don't need to, nor should, eat everything at the local buffet nor buy every muscle enhancer supplement known to man. Follow the yoga-for-men.com diet, put in quality hard work and you will see results.
